American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Stepdown/Telemetry position requiring strong cardiac telemetry skills and chest tube management experience in a Virginia hospital setting.

Cardiovascular Stepdown/Telemetry unit caring for post-cardiac surgery patients transitioning from the ICU
-
Patient population includes cardiovascular stepdown (CVSD) patients requiring telemetry monitoring
-
Experience managing chest tubes and dysrhythmias is essential to daily patient care
-
Schedule: 3x12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
-
Every other weekend required
-
EMR: Epic (specific training class assigned based on prior Epic experience)

Active VA or Compact RN license currently in hand

Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
-
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Strong cardiac telemetry and stepdown nursing background required

Experience with CVSD patients and telemetry monitoring required

Chest tube management and dysrhythmia experience required

PDF copies of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application — no RTO will be approved after an offer is made

Epic training will be assigned based on experience: RNs with 6+ months of Epic experience in the past 12 months complete the Accelerated Clinical Documentation course (~4 hours of modules); those with less than 6 months complete the 2-Day Clinical Documentation course
