Overview
We are a professional couple near Mill Creek looking for an experienced, compassionate female caregiver to provide companionship and support for our 20-year-old daughter with autism. We are looking for a patient, dependable, and nurturing individual with sound judgment who enjoys engaging in meaningful activities that promote personal growth, independence, and social development.
Our daughter is fun, active, and enjoys music, art, shopping, movies, and spending time outdoors. We hope to find someone who is interested in building a long-term relationship and becoming a positive part of her support team.
Location:
- Near Mill Creek, Washington
Hours:
- Monday thru Thursday, 9:30 am - 3:45 pm (25 hours per week)
Duties:
- Encourage participation in home and community-based activities that foster social interaction, life skills, and independence
- Provide transportation to activities and outings while ensuring safety at all times
- Offer compassionate, individualized support to help achieve greater independence, confidence, and overall well-being
Qualifications:
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or behavioral health conditions preferred
- CPR and first aid training preferred
- Dependable, patient, nurturing and positive attitude with good sense of humor
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with family
- Genuine interest in supporting personal growth and community engagement
- Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and a clean driving record
- Basic computer and internet skills are a plus
- Willingness to contract with Consumer Direct Care Network (CDWA) is nice to have
- Ability to pass a background check, provide two references, and maintain a non-smoking environment
Compensation: $23-$25 per hour, depending on experience
