Industrial Maintenance Technician I – Food ManufacturingJob Overview
Clean Label Gourmet Foods (CLGF) is seeking a dependable and mechanically skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician I to join our food manufacturing facility in Halethorpe, Maryland.
This is a hands-on industrial maintenance position responsible for supporting the troubleshooting, repair, preventive maintenance, setup, and reliable operation of our food-processing and packaging equipment.
Our facility operates a diverse range of production equipment, including Multivac packaging systems, Taisei packaging equipment, hot- and cold-fill bottling lines, Unifillers, conveyors, pumps, vacuum systems, motors, gearboxes, pneumatic systems, metal detectors, coding equipment, and High Pressure Processing (HPP) systems.
This position will work closely with our Senior Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician and production team to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently.
We are looking for someone with strong mechanical aptitude and industrial maintenance experience who is comfortable working with motors, gearboxes, bearings, belts, chains, sprockets, conveyors, pumps, pneumatic components, sensors, and automated production equipment.
The ideal candidate should also have a basic working knowledge of industrial electrical systems and be willing and able to continue developing their electrical, controls, PLC, and automation troubleshooting skills.
This is not a building or facilities maintenance position. The primary responsibility is maintaining and repairing industrial food-manufacturing and packaging machinery.
Our production areas operate in a refrigerated/cold-room environment, and the technician must be comfortable performing repairs, preventive maintenance, equipment inspections, and production support under these conditions.
We are looking for a technician who takes pride in maintaining equipment properly, follows safe work practices, recognizes developing equipment problems before they become major failures, and is willing to learn increasingly advanced electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills.
