Dan's Bagels, voted top bakery in DFW, is looking to hire a Baker in the Argyle location!
Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Baker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in baking with a keen eye for detail and creativity.
Responsibilities include opening the bakery early in the morning, mixing dough, seasoning bagels, rolling bagels, and boiling/baking bagels. To be successful in this role, you must have a strong work ethic, hold high standards of quality and presentation, and be able to operate in a fast paced environment.
Duties
- Start early morning shift with other Bakers
- Weigh flour and other ingredients to prepare dough
- Prep bagel toppings and seasoning of bagels
- Rolling and shaping dough
- Boil and Baking Bagels
- Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, adhering to food safety standards.
- Assist with inventory management of baking supplies and ingredients.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new recipes and menu items.
Requirements
- MUST HAVE COMMERCIAL BAKING EXPERIENCE
- EXPERIENCE WITH HAND ROLLING PREFERRED
- Team spirit, with a customer-focused attitude
- Ability to work early morning shifts
- Ability to operate commercial mixers and oven.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lb flour bags.
- Familiarity with all professional kitchen equipment, including mixers and ovens
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food production.
- Excellent time-management skills
- Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Excellent attention to detail with a passion for creating visually appealing baked goods.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred but not required.
- Experience in catering is a plus.

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
