Teaching Assistant Job Description

Duties:
- Provide support to the lead teacher in managing the classroom and implementing lesson plans
- Assist with behavior management and maintaining a positive learning environment
- Work closely with students, providing individualized attention and support as needed
- Help with classroom organization and preparation of materials
- Assist in supervising students during recess, lunch, and other activities
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to assess student progress and provide feedback
Qualifications:
-Must have 12 ECE units (In Home, Child and Community, Child Development, any Curriculum class and Infant/Toddler)
- Previous experience working with students, such as caregiving, nannying, or babysitting
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment and follow instructions from the lead teacher
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting student learning and development
