General Cleaner
We are currently hiring a General Cleaner to join our team at a warehouse facility located on the east side of Madison. This part-time position offers a pay rate of $15.50 per hour and is scheduled Monday through Friday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Candidates should be dependable, detail-oriented, and preferably have prior cleaning experience. Steel-toe shoes are required, and applicants must have reliable transportation.
The General Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Team members must be flexible and willing to complete all duties assigned by their supervisor or manager.
Responsibilities include:

Dusting surfaces such as desks, cabinet tops, partitions, and other areas.

Emptying trash and recycling containers and transporting waste to designated disposal locations.

Sweeping and mopping hard-surface floors.

Vacuuming carpets and floors using upright vacuums and backpack vacuums.

Spot cleaning carpets as needed.

Cleaning glass surfaces.

Cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, including sinks, countertops, toilets, mirrors, and floors.

Restocking restroom supplies and ensuring restrooms remain fully supplied.

Polishing metal fixtures and fittings.

Performing additional cleaning duties as assigned based on customer needs or management direction.

Following all company safety policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications / Physical Requirements:

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.

Ability to bend, reach, lift, carry, push, and pull as part of daily job duties.

Ability to frequently lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to safely work with cleaning chemicals.

Reliable transportation to and from work.

Effective communication and cooperation skills.
