The Student Program at Nexteer Automotive offers high‑potential students meaningful opportunities to apply classroom learning in a professional environment while gaining hands‑on experience and valuable industry exposure.
Job Description:
This is a Student Co-op position located in Saginaw, MI. This position supports the Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Lab activities.
Integrate with the EMC Lab team to support the completion of EMC Testing activities
Work with lab team to understand the processes of the lab including the quality system, and testing
Work with the lab team to improve processes in place for the lab
Assist in maintaining computer hardware, software and test equipment
Learn the processes of Nexteer Automotive within and outside of the EMC Lab team
Requirements:
Candidate must be attending a 2-year college or 4-year university local to Saginaw
Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelors in Electrical or Computer Engineering
Candidate must be able to work 20-32 hours during Fall and Winter semesters
Up to 40 in the summer
Must have cumulative 2.7 GPA on 4.0 scale
Must be a full-time student (12 or more credits) during Fall and Winter semesters
Candidate must have an interest in Electrical Validation, Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) or RF fields
Candidate must have growing knowledge and application of Electrical Engineering principles
Candidate must have strong mathematical and analytic ability
Candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Products (Office 365, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project, Access, SQL)
Candidate must have excellent Communication, Documentation Skills and attention to detail
Candidate must have an interest in understanding of typical electrical and EMC bench equipment (Oscilloscopes, Function Generators, EMI Receivers, Power Meters, etc)
