BRAID APPRENTICES – JOIN OUR TEAM!
The Braid Lounge is looking for reliable, detail-oriented Braid Apprentices to join our team.
This position is part of a 3 month apprenticeship program designed to help you build the foundational skills needed to become an Emerging Braider at The Braid Lounge. During the program, you’ll support our senior braiders while strengthening your own technical skills.
This role keeps the salon running smoothly and allows our braiders to focus on delivering the top-tier service our clients expect. If you can braid down, twist down, do simple cornrows, handle braid removals, and wash hair — you may be a great fit.
ABOUT THE ROLE As a Braid Apprentice, you’ll be responsible for: Braid/Twist Down for installs
Simple Cornrows (neat and consistent) Braid Removals without causing damage
Washing & Detangling Hair (efficient and gentle) Assisting braiders during services (passing hair, products, tools) Light cleaning and laundry Stocking and organizing supplies Helping with small tasks around the salon as needed

PAY & HOURS
$14/hour + potential bonuses when the team hits goals

After successfully completing the 3-month apprenticeship program, team members who demonstrate strong skills, reliability, and professionalism may be promoted to the role of Emerging Braider at The Braid Lounge.
