The Security Lead provides direct, on-site leadership to the security personnel at their assigned location, supporting the overall safety and protection of employees, guests, products, and property. As the eyes and ears on the ground, the Security Lead ensures smooth day-to-day security operations, enforces established protocols, and communicates critical updates to the Security Manager. This position requires a strong presence, excellent judgment, and the ability to lead by example.

Provide on-site leadership, guidance, and support to security guards stationed at their location.

Serve as the primary security point of contact for the location during assigned shifts.

Ensure guards maintain visibility and professionalism.

Ensure proper opening, closing, and handoff procedures and security sweeps to maintain facility readiness.

Assist with real-time incident response, reporting, and de-escalation when needed.

Coordinate closely with the Security Manager to implement company-wide security initiatives.

Monitor surveillance systems and ensure reporting logs are updated and accurate.

Mentor and support new guards to ensure smooth onboarding and consistent performance.

Communicate operational needs, safety concerns, and security gaps to the Security Manager in a timely and detailed manner.

Participate in security meetings and assist in the training or refreshers of frontline security procedures.

Provide coverage in high-traffic areas or during events to ensure customer and employee safety.

High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in criminal justice or security operations is a plus.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a security role, preferably in a regulated or cannabis-related environment.

Must possess a valid security guard license and any required firearms permit.

Experience in a lead or supervisory capacity strongly preferred.

Working knowledge of basic security systems (surveillance, access control, radios, etc.).

Excellent observational, decision-making, and communication skills.

Ability to maintain professionalism and composure under pressure.

Reliable, punctual, and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Must pass a background check and drug screening per company and regulatory standards.

Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Ability to bend, reach, stand, walk, and perform physical labor for extended periods

Ability to perform foot patrols in indoor and outdoor conditions.
This position operates on-site at either the Main Building or North Location, including both indoor and outdoor environments. Exposure to music, customer interaction, and cannabis-related products is expected. This is not a remote role and does not involve travel.
