Care Coordinator / Medical Assistant — Patient Engagement
Spiro Senior | Brandon, FL
About the Role
Spiro Senior brings medical care directly to seniors where they live — no waiting rooms, no transportation hassles, just quality care delivered in the comfort of their own residence. We are launching services at Meridian at Brandon and are looking for a Care Coordinator / Medical Assistant who will be the face of our practice in the community.
This is not a sit-behind-the-desk position. You will spend your days out in the community — meeting residents, building relationships with them and their families, introducing our services, and helping seniors understand how easy it is to receive care without leaving home. When residents become patients, you will support their care directly: coordinating visits, assisting our providers, and making sure every patient feels known and looked after.
If you love talking to people, have a heart for seniors, and want a role where your energy directly grows a practice, this is it.
What You Will Do
Community & Patient Engagement
- Serve as Spiro Senior's ambassador at Meridian at Brandon — be visible, approachable, and known by name
- Meet with residents and families to introduce our services, answer questions, and guide them through enrollment
- Build relationships with facility staff, activity directors, and administrators to stay top of mind for referrals
- Host and support informational events, open houses, and community activities
- Follow up with interested residents and families to help them take the next step
Care Coordination & Clinical Support
- Assist providers during on-site visits: intake, vital signs, medical histories, and medication lists
- Schedule visits and follow-ups and coordinate referrals, labs, and imaging with outside vendors
- Maintain accurate documentation in our EHR (Azalea Health)
- Verify patient information and assist with new patient onboarding paperwork and consents
- Serve as the go-to contact for patients and families between visits
What We Are Looking For
- Outgoing, warm, self-directed personality — you are comfortable starting conversations and genuinely enjoy older adults
- Medical Assistant experience (certification preferred) or comparable clinical support background
- Experience in senior living, home health, geriatrics, or community outreach is a strong plus
- Comfortable with EHR systems and basic clinical tasks (vitals, intake, documentation)
- Organized and reliable — you can manage a schedule, follow up consistently, and keep records clean
Why Spiro Senior
You will be on the ground floor of a growing practice with real ownership of your community's success. Your work will directly determine how many seniors get convenient, quality care — and you will see the impact of your relationships every single day.
