Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of plumbing systems, be able to read blueprints and schematics, and possess the ability to work effectively in various construction environments. This role requires a hands-on approach to assembling, installing, and repairing piping systems, as well as ensuring compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential and commercial buildings.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of plumbing systems.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to assemble and install piping, fixtures, and appliances.
- Conduct inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues or potential problems.
- Perform heavy lifting as necessary for transporting materials and equipment.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals, including carpenters and HVAC technicians, to ensure project completion.
- Adhere to safety protocols and building codes during all plumbing activities.
Experience
- Proven experience in plumbing or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with construction plumbing practices is essential.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations are required.
- Ability to work with heavy lifting tasks safely.
- Experience reading blueprints and schematics is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to plumbing tasks.
