REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:
Essential

Minimum three years of experience in a precision sheet metal environment

One year supervisory or lead experience
-
Strong math skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; additional skills in algebra, geometry and trigonometry

Strong ability to read blueprints
-
Good flat pattern knowledge
-
Strong ability to use precision measuring equipment
-
Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
-
Ability to understand detailed verbal instructions
-
Willingness to work hours needed to complete jobs

Manual dexterity
-
High school graduate plus relevant vocational training (e.g. sheet metal work)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:
Sit 25%, Stand 30%, Walk 20%, Bend 5%, Squat 1%, Lift 5%, Twist 10%, Climb 2%, Drive 1%, Push/Pull 1%.
Maximum (minutes based upon an 8 hour day): Sit 120, Stand 144, Walk 96, Bend 24, Squat 5, Lift 24, Twist 48, Climb 9, Drive 5, Push/Pull 5.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
Must have normal vision (with or without corrective lenses) and hearing (with or without corrective hearing aids).
Working Environment: Shop environment. Moderate noise level. Exposure to dust, heat and cold.
