Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Metrology Engineer III/IV specializing in 3D scanning and modeling to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will utilize advanced measurement techniques and software to perform precise dimensional inspections, develop detailed 3D models, and support quality assurance initiatives across various manufacturing projects. Your expertise will directly contribute to improving product quality, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving innovation in measurement solutions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Duties may include but are not limited to)
- Collect 3D scan data with various scanning devices
- Create as-built models from scan data
- Perform dimensional analysis on scan data
- Interface with manufacturing engineers to support manufacturing and fabrication applications
- Prepare and present results to customers
- Provide technical leadership on metrology projects
- Occasional travel may be required
- Must be able to physically lift and carry required equipment
QUALIFICATIONS
- BS degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Aerospace Engineering or related field from an ABET accredited institution
- 3+ years detailed design utilizing CAD (i.e. PTC Creo, Solid Works, CATIA, ProE, etc.)
- 3+ years using scanning equipment such as Zeiss ATOS, Surphaser, CREOFORM HandySCAN & MetraSCAN, Leica Laser Tracker, Photogrammetry, etc.
- 3+ years using scanning software such as Zeiss Quality Suite, PolyWorks, Geomagic, Design X, Wrap, CREOFORM
- Proficient with MS Office
- Able to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Ability to solve problems, make decisions
- Work independently and self-directed; or participate as a team member in defined phases of broader engineering assignments
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Customer service oriented, with solid written and verbal communication skills
- Represents the organization in a professional and effective manner to various associations, customers, vendors, and the general public
- Produces high quality and high quantity work
- Exercises sound judgment, tact and diplomacy

Pay: $110,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
