Job Summary

Duties
- Supervise children during after-school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Manage behavior through effective behavior management techniques and positive reinforcement
- Assist with homework help, tutoring, or educational activities to reinforce classroom learning
- Maintain clear communication with parents, teachers, and staff regarding student progress or concerns
Requirements
- DCF 40 Hours (will help complete)
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and familiarity with first aid protocols (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Strong classroom management skills and experience in behavior management techniques
- Ability to engage children through creative activities such as theater, sports coaching, or arts-based programs
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with staff and families
- Background in special education or experience working with children with diverse needs is a plus
