Health Promotion at CU Boulder encourages applications for an Alcohol and Drug (AOD) Early Intervention Educator ! This role is responsible for facilitating individual and small-group early intervention classes through Health Promotion. This role supports both mandated and voluntary student participants, using motivational interviewing as a core strategy in all sessions.
Programs facilitated may include (but are not limited to): the Alcohol Skills Training Program (ASTP), Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT), BASICS, iCHAMP, Alcohol Impact Circle, Exploring Substance Use Workshop, and Nicotine Coaching.
Key responsibilities include scheduling and leading AOD early intervention sessions, conducting one-on-one student meetings, tracking and documenting student participation and completion, and maintaining consistent communication with Health Promotion staff regarding scheduling, programmatic needs, and any challenges that arise.
