American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a MICU position requiring Epic proficiency and a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience.

Work in a Medical ICU (MICU) at an oncology-focused hospital
-
Patient population includes adults and geriatrics with complex oncologic, pulmonary, and systemic conditions, including oncologic emergencies, COPD, ARDS, GI bleeds, sepsis, neuromuscular disease, and drug overdose
-
Common procedures include mechanical ventilation, pulmonary artery catheter placement, CRRT, arterial pressure monitoring, cardiac monitoring, chest tube management, central venous catheters, chemotherapy administration, plasmapheresis, and support for bronchoscopy and endoscopy

Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)

A 12 D/N rotating contract is also available, where shift assignments (days, nights, or a combination) are determined by department needs and reviewed each 4-week scheduling period

Charting via Epic (required)

Active OH or Compact RN license required

Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required

Proficiency with mechanical ventilators required

IV insertion skills required

Epic experience required

2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or Supervisor; a Charge RN is acceptable as a second reference; no coworker references accepted

First-time travelers will not be considered for this position

Local candidates are accepted

All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted prior to booking and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or fewer

Former facility employees are eligible to apply after a minimum 6-month separation from the facility

Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be completed promptly after accepting the position; candidates outside Ohio will need to travel to an in-state fingerprinting location or complete a mailed fingerprinting packet upon receipt
