Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles such as box trucks with manual transmissions to deliver furniture to residential and commercial clients.
- Load and unload furniture using equipment like forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques, ensuring items are secured properly for transit.
- Navigate route driving efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting clients with their deliveries, answering questions, and ensuring a positive experience.
- Verify delivery orders, inspect items for damages, and obtain signatures or proof of delivery from customers.
- Maintain cleanliness and routine safety checks of the vehicle before and after each shift.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to coordinate schedules and ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
Experience
- Prior experience in delivery driving, courier services, or transportation roles involving route driving is preferred.
- Proven ability to handle heavy lifting and moving furniture safely and efficiently.
- Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or similar warehouse equipment is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with an energetic approach to engaging clients during deliveries.
- Valid ID
- Familiarity with load & unload procedures enhances performance in this role.
