EXPRESS PICKLEBALL FRONT DESK ASSOCIATE PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
The Express Pickleball Front Desk Associate is the first point of contact for members and guests and plays a key role in creating a welcoming, energetic, and well-organized pickleball experience. This position is responsible for member check-in, point of sale transactions, membership sales support, and assisting with daily operations, including events, open play and group activities.
FRONT DESK ASSOCIATE RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Greet members and guests in a friendly, professional manner.
· Check-in members and visitors using the facility management system.
· Operate the point-of-sale system for apparel, equipment, and food & beverage sales.
· Accurately handle cash, credit card, and digital transactions.
· Promote and sell memberships, guest visits, and retail items.
· Provide information on schedules, pricing programs, and facility policies.
· Assist with organizing and supporting events, clinics, leagues, and tournaments.
· Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and assist with basic administrative tasks.
· Communicate member feedback, issues, or safety concerns to management.
· Support other operational needs as assigned.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS WORKING CONDITIONS:
This position requires the ability to work 4-8 hour shifts. It also requires the ability to work nights and weekends depending on business needs.
EXPERIENCE:
- Basic computer skills and knowledge
- Prior experience in a busy environment is preferred
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Customer service experience preferred; hospitality, fitness, or sports facility experience a plus.
- Familiarity with pickleball or willingness to learn the game and facility operations.
- Comfortable using POS systems, computers, and scheduling software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
