American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position at a Magnet-designated Level I trauma center in Springfield, IL, with PICC line management experience and night shift availability required.

Night shift position with a 6:45 PM start time, working three 12-hour shifts per week (18:45–07:15)
-
23-bed Medical Surgical unit within an acute care hospital
-
Level I trauma center and Magnet-designated facility with 562 total staffed beds
-
Every other weekend required
-
Floating is required for all travelers, both within the hospital and to nearby affiliate hospitals
-
No on-call responsibilities
-
Charting performed in Cerner (experience preferred)

Block scheduling may be accommodated — connect with the manager to discuss

Active IL RN license required; candidates actively in the application process with an ETA will be considered

Current BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required; AHA and Red Cross accepted — RQI AHA cards are not accepted

Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg RN experience required

PICC line management and IV start experience required

Previous charge nurse experience preferred

SSN and DOB required for consideration

Any permanent or PRN employee of the Memorial Hospital System must have been away for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler

RTO of up to 5 days is generally accommodated; requests beyond 5 days require facility approval

Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays

Travel pairs are not accepted at this facility

Scrubs may be any solid color
