Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assess their automotive needs with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Provide detailed product information on tires, automotive parts, accessories, and vehicle systems to assist customers in making informed decisions
- Conduct automotive diagnostics and mechanical troubleshooting to recommend suitable solutions or services
- Manage point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately, including cash handling, credit card processing, and sales documentation
- Build strong customer relationships through effective communication, negotiation, and personalized service
- Assist in inventory management by stocking shelves, organizing automotive parts, and maintaining accurate inventory records using inventory control systems like CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
- Support vehicle maintenance and repair consultations by sharing mechanical knowledge and explaining automotive repair procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized retail environment while adhering to safety protocols and phone etiquette standards
- Collaborate with team members to meet sales targets and ensure excellent customer service in retail sales of auto parts and accessories
Requirements
- Prior experience in dealership or retail auto parts sales is highly preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems, automotive diagnostics, and repair processes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and inventory management software such as CMMS or POS systems
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively and build lasting customer relationships
- Knowledge of automotive parts management, stocking procedures, and inventory control techniques
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for sales transactions and inventory assessments
- Mechanical troubleshooting skills combined with automotive repair experience are desirable
- Outstanding organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining stock levels and store presentation
- Customer service-oriented mindset with professional phone etiquette and strong organizational skills
