Experience wrking with students with Autism Spectrum Dis- rder.
Demnstrated ability t prvide caching, mdeling, supervisin, and prfessinal learning t instructi- nal staff preferred.
Knwledge f applied behavir analysis (ABA), functinal cmmunicatin, structured teaching, and data-based instructi- nal practices preferred.
Experience with, r willingness t be trained in, evidence-based autism instructinal practices, including the STAR Prgram, discrete trial training (DTT), natural envirnment teaching (NET), pivtal respnse training (PRT), functinal rutines, functinal cmmunicatin training (FCT), and the use f visual supp- rts.
Knwledge f augmentative and alternative cmmunicati- n (AAC) systems preferred.
Satisfactry wrk rec- rd & criminal/child abuse clearances (Acts 34, 114, and 151), FBI clearances.

Summary
Under the supervisin f the Executive Directr f Special Educatin, the special educatin facilitatr will assist in the planning, crdinatin, and prgram delivery f special educatin at the schl and District levels in cnjunctin with ther educatrs, families, and students. In additin, the facilitatr will prvide direct and indirect supprt t students, parents, teachers and administratrs.
Essential Duties and Respnsibilities
Prvides instructinal cnsultatin, caching, and supprt t teachers, paraprfessinals, and supprt staff serving students with Autism Spectrum Disrder wh require highly structured, data-driven, and therapeutic pr
- gramming.
versees and supprts implementatin fidelity f ABA-based instructinal practices and district-apprved instructinal framewrks, including the STAR Prgram, DTT, NET, FCT, PRT, and functinal r- utines.
Cnducts classrm, nn-evaluative bservatins, caching cycles, demnstratin lessns, and staff feedback sessi- ns.
Assists in the develpment, implementatin, and mnitring f individualized behavir supprt plans and reinf- rcement systems.
Cllabrates with IEP teams and multidisciplinary staff t supprt measurable gal develpment, instructinal prgramming, placement decisins, transitin planning, and prgress mnit- ring.
Analyzes student behaviral and instructinal data t guide instructinal adjustments and decisi- n making.
Supprts implementatin f AAC systems and cmmunicatin supprts in cllabratin with speech-language pathlgists and related service pr- viders.
Facilitates and participates in structured data reviews and 40-day prgress review cycles t guide instructinal and behaviral decisi- n making.
Assists in the referral, eligibility, placement, and transitin prcess fr students being cnsidered fr intensive autism pr- gramming.
Crdinates and supprts prfessinal learning related t autism, ABA, behavir interventin, sensry regulatin, crisis preventin, cmmunicatin systems, and data cllecti- n.
Assists staff in implementing visual supprts, structured schedules, sensry supprts, and envirnmental mdificati- ns.
Supprts implementatin f schl-based tileting and adaptive skill develpment prcedures, including rapid tilet training prtc- ls.
Cllabrates with related service prviders, Bard Certified Behavir Analysts (BCBAs), paraprfessinals, administratrs, families, and schl staff t ensure cnsistent implementatin f student pr- gramming.
Maintains accurate recrds, behaviral dcumentatin, prgress mnitring systems, and prgram rep- rts.
Assists in the mnitring f academic prgress - f students with autism.
Assists with crisis preventin, de-escalatin planning, and implementatin f trauma-infrmed behaviral supp- rts.
Facilitates cmmunicatin and cllabratin with families thrugh meetings, caching, training sessins, and nging cmmunicati- n systems.
Assists with develpment and implementatin f family engagement activities, including family trainings, AAC caching, and parent chrt sessi- ns.
Mnitrs prgram cmpliance with IDEA, Chapter 14 regulatins, district plicies, and pr- cedural requirements.
Supprts district-wide autism prgramming thrugh cnsultatin, mdel classrm supprt, and prfessi- nal learning.
Cllabrates with district leadership regarding staffing, enrllment trends, prgramming needs, and service delivery m- dels.
Reads, analyzes, and interprets prfessinal jurnals, research studies, and federal, state, and lcal regulatins related t autism and special educati- n.
Writes reprts, crrespndence, and prcedure manuals and mem- randa.
Presents infrmatin and respnds t questins frm grups f faculty, supp- rt staff, students, parents, and the general public.
