POSITION SUMMARY
The Director, Membership Programming develops and manages the full range of programs and events for RDG's exclusive membership club, ensuring each offering reflects the club's commitment to luxury, exclusivity, and exceptional service. The role owns programming strategy and calendar, budget, partner and vendor curation, and the team that executes each experience for a high-net-worth membership. Performance is measured by member satisfaction, program participation, financial results, and long-term member retention.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Program Development
- Design, plan, and implement high-quality programs and events, including social gatherings, cultural experiences, wellness retreats, travel excursions, educational workshops, and member mixers.
- Collaborate with external partners and vendors to curate unique and exclusive member experiences.
- Member Engagement
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with members to understand their interests and preferences, ensuring programming aligns with expectations and enhances the membership experience.
- Solicit feedback and make continuous improvements to programs based on member input and industry trends.
- Strategic Planning
- Create a comprehensive annual programming calendar balancing events that appeal to diverse member demographics, following the four Membership pillars.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor offerings to keep the club's programming innovative and competitive.
- Budget Management
- Develop and manage the programming budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Oversee financial planning and reporting for all programs and events.
- Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor a team of event coordinators and support staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Provide training and development opportunities to strengthen team skills and performance.
- Marketing & Promotion
- Work closely with the Marketing Project Manager and the Head of Partnerships & Communications to create compelling promotional materials and communication strategies for upcoming programs and events.
- Use digital platforms and social media to increase member engagement and event participation.
- Operational Excellence
- Ensure all programs and events are executed flawlessly, with attention to detail and a focus on delivering exceptional member experiences.
- Implement and maintain standard operating procedures for event planning and execution.
- Performance Measures
- Member satisfaction: Net Promoter Score and post-event member feedback scores.
- Program participation: event attendance rates and repeat participation across the calendar.
- Program diversity and innovation: new programs launched each quarter, percentage of programs matched to identified member interests, and programs enhanced based on member feedback and industry trends.
- Financial performance: budget adherence, cost per participant, and revenue generated from ticket sales, sponsorships, and other program-related income.
- Operational efficiency: events executed without significant issues or disruptions, and average planning lead time from concept to execution.
- Strategic alignment: percentage of programs supporting the club's strategic objectives and brand values, and long-term retention of program-active members.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Required
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Planning, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7–10 years in program development, event planning, or a similar role within the luxury lifestyle, hospitality, or private membership sector.
- Previous experience in luxury hospitality or fashion.
- Proven track record of creating and executing successful programs and events.
- Availability for flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Physical Demands
- Performs general office work including typing and extended computer use, which lends itself to repetitive motion.
- Sits in a stationary position for several hours within the day.
- Stands and walks for extended periods while on site at member events.
- Lifts, carries, and moves up to 50 pounds of event materials as needed.
- Work Environment
- Corporate office environment, with regular presence at member events across RDG venues and offsite locations.
- Fast-paced event settings with elevated noise levels and fluctuating guest volume.
- Schedule includes evenings, weekends, and holidays driven by the programming calendar.
- Travel required for offsite experiences and travel excursions.
