The Inn at Avila Beach is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of our hotel rooms and public areas. Your enthusiasm for delivering outstanding guest experiences will ensure our guests feel comfortable, cared for, and eager to return.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing bathrooms.
- Handle laundry duties such as washing, folding, and organizing linens and towels efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness of public spaces like lobbies, hallways, and recreational areas by sweeping, mopping, and dusting.
- Ensure all floors are properly cared for through carpet cleaning, floor polishing, and appropriate maintenance techniques.
- Manage janitorial supplies inventory and restock cleaning carts to ensure readiness for daily tasks.
- Assist with outdoor work when necessary, including trash removal and landscaping support.
- Follow sanitation standards rigorously to promote a safe and healthy environment for guests and staff.
Skills
- Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning, hotel housekeeping, or custodial roles.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques including carpet cleaning, floor care, and sanitation practices.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting and moving furniture or supplies safely.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy periods.
- Customer service orientation with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members.
- Experience with laundry processes and janitorial equipment operation.
- Outdoor work experience is a plus for maintaining exterior areas of the property.
