Duties
- Assist glaziers with measuring, cutting, and fitting glass for auto and flat applications according to project specifications
- Handle glass materials carefully, ensuring safe transportation and precise placement during installation
- Support the setup and use of hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and install glass components
- Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation
- Help with window, door, fixture, cabinet, and trim carpentry tasks related to glass installation projects
- Perform heavy lifting of glass panels and related materials while maintaining safety protocols
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials regularly to promote efficiency
Requirements
- Prior construction site experience or hands-on involvement in remodeling or fabrication projects preferred
- Basic knowledge of blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings or schematics
- Familiarity with hand tools (e.g., chisels, screwdrivers), power tools (e.g., drills, saws), and measurement techniques for quality control
- Ability to perform dimensional measurements accurately for proper fitment of glass components
- Experience with handling glass materials safely during transportation and installation processes
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking on construction sites
- Knowledge of caulking, glazing techniques, metal stud framing, drywall installation, and general carpentry is a plus
