American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg position in Alabama, requiring a minimum of 1 year of experience and proficiency with cardiac drips.

Hospital-based Medical Surgical unit with orthopedic focus and Med/Surg telemetry overflow

Patient ratio of 1:6–1:7

Cardiac drip management required at times, including cardizem, tridil, and amiodarone

Day shift schedule: 3x12 or 4x12 hours, 7:00–19:00

Block scheduling may be accommodated

Active Alabama RN license or compact RN license currently in hand or already applied for; pending license accepted

Current certifications: BLS and NIHSS required; ACLS preferred

Minimum 1 year of RN experience required

Proficiency with cardiac drips (cardizem, tridil, amiodarone) required

Two professional references required for consideration

Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Must reside more than 90 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted

Candidates who have previously worked as permanent staff at this facility are ineligible to apply for 10 years following their departure
