Freestanding Emergency Room in Carrollton, TX open 24/7 providing all emergency care services and equipped with on-site CT, X-Rays, ultrasound and laboratory services. Looking for Registered Nurse with freestanding emergency room experience full-time night shifts available.
Responsibilities:
- SHIFT: Night (7p-7a) + Weekends & Holidays
- Monitor patient's condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care.
- The RN is expected to perform her clinical duties independently.
- The RN is expected to perform and run labs.
- Complete training in the use of laboratory equipment and required documentation to comply with OSHA and CLIA standards.
- Observe and interpret patient's symptoms and communicate same to physicians.
- Collaborate with physicians to devise individualized care plans for patients.
- Perform routine procedures (blood pressure, administering injections, starting IVs, etc) and document in patient charts.
- Adjust and administer patient's medication and provide treatments according to physician's orders.
- Inspect the facilities and act to maintain excellent hygiene and safety (disinfecting equipment, sanitizing surfaces, preparing beds, etc.)
- Provide instant medical care in emergencies.
- Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families.
Qualifications:
- Current Texas RN license or compact license accepted.
- Current BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications.
- RN Diploma, Associates or BS degree in nursing.
- At least 2 years of Emergency Department experience required (preferably in a free standing ER).
- Efficient time management skills with ability to anticipate workflow.

- Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Detail oriented and excellent problem-solving skills.
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures and willingness to follow them at all times.
- Ability to work with patients of all ages.
- Ability to work all shifts including day, evening, weekends, and holiday hours as needed.
Pay: From $45.00 per hour
