Gill’s is a locally owned Garden Center & Landscape Company celebrating 48 years in business. We are based in Corpus Christi and serve the entire coastal bend and South Texas area. Gill’s started as a landscape company in 1978 and continues to provide high quality landscape design and installation. We have a team of dedicated landscape designers who work with clients to turn their outdoor spaces into beautiful and functional works of art. We design and install residential, commercial, and ranch country landscapes including patios, walkways, drainage solutions, lighting, outdoor kitchens, shade structures, water features, and more. About the Landscape Design Assistant Position
The Landscape Design Assistant provides support for many aspects of landscape design and installation projects including client communication, CAD, drafting designs, measurements in the field, scheduling, and billing. The Landscape Design Assistant must be detail oriented, highly organized, and comfortable working with numbers and people.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Auto CAD drafting experience required
- Ability to learn software programs quickly
- Strong customer service skills
- Passion for plants and outdoor living
- Clear, direct, and accurate verbal and written communication
- Ability to multitask effectively
- Accuracy and attention to detail with estimating, budgeting, and billing
- Positive tone and energy for customers and staff
- Proficiency with design software and landscape plans
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare landscape designs using landscape design Auto CAD software
- Coordinate scheduling for multiple concurrent landscape installation projects
- Assist with estimates and bills for landscape installation projects
- Record keeping – keep all physical and digital files (plans, photos, etc.) well-organized
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 45 per week
