Animal Eye Clinic is a veterinary ophthalmology specialty practice in the Columbia, SC and Charlotte, NC areas. We are currently seeking a part-time veterinary technician for the Columbia location (Tuesdays and Wednesdays), but are open to full-time if an applicant wants to add more hours in one of our Charlotte locations. We will also be expanding to 3 days/week in September. The right candidate would have a great personality, positive attitude, and enjoy a fast-paced environment, while practicing high quality medicine. We are looking for candidates who have a strong work ethic, client care, patient care, and an interest in ophthalmology. Veterinary technicians must be experienced and comfortable with anesthesia and surgery. We are offering a great schedule, competitive pay, uniform allowance, PTO, and other benefits. Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians in ophthalmic examinations and procedures for animals.
- Handle and restrain animals safely during examinations and treatments.
- Administer anesthesia under supervision, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of procedures performed.
- Provide post-operative care and monitor recovery of patients.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding care instructions and follow-up appointments.
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
