Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automotive Technician to join our dynamic service team. Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive issues using advanced diagnostic tools and schematics.
- Perform vehicle maintenance tasks including oil changes, brake repairs, tire rotations, and fluid replacements.
- Conduct complex repairs on powertrain components such as engines, transmissions, and drive systems.
- Repair vehicle suspension systems, alignments, and wheel balancing to ensure proper handling and safety.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and electrical system schematics to troubleshoot electrical issues effectively.
- Utilize automotive repair techniques on both gasoline and diesel engines, including diesel engine repairs when necessary.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete auto estimating procedures, and communicate repair findings clearly to customers.
Skills
- Proven dealership experience with a strong understanding of automotive systems and diagnostics.
- Proficiency in using automotive diagnostic tools and electrical wiring diagram interpretation.
- Knowledge of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and modern vehicle electronic systems.
- Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance, powertrain repairs, and transmission system servicing.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive service tools.
- Ability to read schematics accurately and troubleshoot complex electrical issues within automotive wiring diagrams.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to clients.
- Experience working with GM vehicles or similar brands is a plus; familiarity with auto estimating software is preferred.
