Role Description The Program Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Pittsburgh, PA, responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating programs from concept through completion. This role oversees project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring that program goals, milestones, and deliverables are met on schedule and within scope. The Program Manager coordinates with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders, facilitates meetings, and communicates progress, risks, and dependencies clearly and regularly. Day-to-day work includes building and maintaining program documentation, tracking performance metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing processes that support consistency and quality. This position also contributes to strategic planning, helps shape future initiatives, and ensures alignment with the organization’s mission and values.
Qualifications
- Program and project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
- Stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with experience coordinating cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Strong communication abilities, including clear written and verbal communication, meeting facilitation, and presentation skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, track program outcomes, and make evidence-based recommendations.
- Organizational skills, including attention to detail, documentation, and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to work on-site in Pittsburgh, PA and build productive relationships in person.
- Proficiency with common productivity and project management tools (e.g., spreadsheets, slide decks, task tracking software).
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (such as business, public administration, social sciences, or a related discipline), or equivalent experience.
- Experience in nonprofit, social impact, or community-focused programs is beneficial.
- Commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory practices and an interest in supporting diverse communities and perspectives.
Pay: $30,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
