Duties:
- Safely operate a shuttle bus or van to transport passengers and/or students to and from designated locations for based on assigned location.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely pick-ups and drop-offs
- Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle if needed, including those with special needs and senior citizens.
- Provide excellent customer service by being courteous, professional, and timely
- Communicate effectively with passengers, answering questions and providing information about routes and schedules
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations to ensure the safety of passengers and other road users
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in proper working condition
- Report any maintenance needs, mechanical issues or accidents immediately to the appropriate supervisor
- Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle, including regular cleaning and disinfecting
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Commercial driving experience preferred, such as paratransit or school bus driving
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Familiarity with local roads, routes, and landmarks is a plus
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if required

Pay: $17.50 - $20.00 per hour
