**The base rate of pay for this job is $12/hr and you make anywhere from $4-$8 per hour extra in tips! Total pay can be $20/hr!!
Currently looking for seasonal help for our fall market which includes lots of pumpkins and Mums!!!
Join our farmers market team at Biggers Market, Carolina Beach Road location. As a Farmers Market Team Member, you will engage with customers, promote our products, and ensure a lively, welcoming atmosphere. If you are interested in community, local food and beverages and interacting with people we would love to meet you!
We offer an OUTDOOR work environment so you won't have to be tucked away inside on all our lovely days here on the coast! You will work with our amazing team in a quick pace environment that always offers up new experiences!
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service to enhance their shopping experience
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for sales transactions, cash handling, and receipts
- Stock shelves, merchandise displays, and organize products to maintain an attractive market
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding sales goals, customer needs, and store operations
Skills
- Excellent customer service
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic math for transactions
- Excellent communication skills, including active listening and clear verbal interaction
- Ability to perform merchandising tasks such as stocking shelves and organizing displays efficiently
- Knowledge of grocery store operations, retail math, and customer service best practices
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
