Position Summary
Dietary Aide/Kitchen Helper
The Dietary Aide/Kitchen Helper assists the Cook in preparing and serving meals, ensuring that food is plated or placed on trays according to tray tickets, while adhering to established policies and procedures. Under the direction of the Food Services Director/Manager or Cook, this role ensures high-quality food service at all times. Responsibilities also include preparing and delivering food and trays, washing dishes, and cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen in compliance with health standards.
Qualifications
- A positive attitude and ability to follow both oral and written instructions, while performing routine, repetitive tasks daily.
- After completing necessary training, demonstrate leadership by completing tasks independently and safely.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred; specialized training in food service is a plus. Completion of an approved sanitation and safety course may be required.
- A valid Food Handler’s card is required.
- Must adhere to scheduled work hours and be punctual.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies as required by state, local, or customer regulations.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds, push or pull up to 50 pounds, and stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
- Must handle food and cleaning products as part of daily tasks.
- Residence within the service area is required.

- Proper use of protective gear in all relevant tasks.
- Safe handling and mixing of cleaning solutions following safety guidelines.
- Promptly report any equipment or cleaning product needs/malfunctions to the supervisor.

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
