We have immediate openings for PRN Speech Therapists in the Dallas and Fort Worth areas.

Provides treatment as ordered by the attending physician.

Evaluates patient’s speech and language abilities, both defects and assets, and evaluates the patient’s level of function.

Plans to provide rehabilitative services for speech and language disorders.

Assists in developing and updating the plan of treatment.

Observes, reports, and records type of treatment and patient’s response to it, reports progress and/or regression to physician and Agency.

Submits to the Agency written reports of the patient’s progress at the designated intervals of every sixty (60) days and at discharge of the patient using the appropriate and designated forms.

Participates in case conference as required.

Utilizes community resources and Agency personnel by proper referral.

May supervise home health aides.

Selects and administers diagnostic and therapeutic techniques and materials for patient evaluation and treatment purposes.

Instructs, teaches, and supervises and counsels other health team personnel and family members in methods of assisting the patient in improving, correcting, and/or accepting his or her disabilities.

Instructs, teaches, and supervises the family in the patient’s total speech therapy program.

May make the initial evaluating if only speech therapy service is ordered.

Participates in staff development activities, which may include providing inservice training to other home health personnel.

Communicate and coordinate activity/progress with other members of the team.

Evaluates the home environment and makes appropriate recommendations.

Participates in Performance Improvement Activities.

Performs other jobrelated duties as assigned.
