EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
This position supports high-volume print and mail production that helps the agency deliver timely and accurate materials. The role requires focus, steady hands, and the ability to keep fast-moving equipment operating correctly. As a Print Production Technician, you will perform the following duties:

Equipment Operation: Operate high-speed printers and inserters to produce forms, letters, manuals, and marketing materials

Job Setup: Review job specifications, prepare print queues, and configure digital printers for each production run

Quality Verification: Inspect printed materials to confirm proper stock, clear images, and accurate recovery from machine errors

Variable Data Review: Check variable print output to ensure data appears in the correct locations and resolve print issues

Color and Offset Work: Run digital offset equipment, maintain consistent color, and troubleshoot production problems

Bindery and Packing: Complete hand bindery tasks and prepare finished materials for delivery

System Entry: Record production activities in the print management system and monitor deadlines

Maintenance Tasks: Perform daily equipment maintenance and make minor repairs and adjustments

Lead Work: Assign tasks, train employees, and review completed work for accuracy

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment in a 24 hours per day, 5 days a week facility

Work schedules include a 30 minute lunch:

7:00 AM to 3:00 PM Monday - Friday

3:00 PM to 11:00 PM Monday - Friday

11:00 PM to 7:00 AM Sunday - Thursday

This position is considered essential. You will be required to work during emergencies and office closings.

Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $40,685.00 (before taxes).
