Jacksonville Gentle Dentistry is seeking an experienced Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our private practice. If you enjoy providing exceptional patient care in a supportive, team-oriented environment where quality comes before quotas, we'd love to meet you.

Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during a variety of restorative, cosmetic, surgical, root canal, and emergency procedures
- Place and finish restorations as permitted under Florida EFDA guidelines
- Take digital radiographs and intraoral photographs
- Fabricate temporary crowns and bridges and pack cord
- Take digital impressions (iTero experience a must)
- Perform coronal polishing and fluoride treatments
- Maintain treatment rooms and sterilization according to OSHA and CDC guidelines
- Prepare patients for treatment and ensure their comfort throughout procedures
- Accurately document treatment and update patient records
- Educate patients on post-operative care and oral health
- Work closely with the front office and clinical team to provide an outstanding patient experience.
Qualifications
- Current DA/EFDA certification
- Current radiology certification
- Minimum 2 years of chairside dental assisting experience preferred
- Experience with digital dentistry and iTero scanning is a plus
- Knowledge of practice management software
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to multitask
