We are currently hiring for a Billing Coordinator. This position will work closely with the Billing Team Lead. The Billing Coordinator will be responsible for preparing and processing behavioral health insurance billing for Medicaid and Commercial insurance billing for the 14 location in 6 different states. Successful candidates will be highly detail oriented, have strong communication skills, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
General Duties:
Work under leadership in the establishment, development, and uniform operation of our out-patient co-occurring treatment program contracting and billing requirements. Provide oversight and maintenance of licensed treatment programing in accordance with State Laws, Life Renewal Policies, and the ministry goals.
The ideal candidate for this position will have experience working in a medical office setting, with a strong background in medical billing, coding, and collections. They should be familiar with medical terminology, ICD-10 coding guidelines, and have a working knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Responsibilities:
- Review and verify medical records and patient information for accuracy and completeness.
- Assign appropriate medical codes using ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding systems.
- Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations.
- Process and submit claims to insurance companies.
- Follow up on denied or rejected claims and resolve billing issues.
- Obtain and maintain provider enpannelment through contracting CCOs amd other payers
- Oversee staff credentailing, requirements and CEUs.
Requirements:
1. Graduation from a four year college or university with major course work in public administration, business administration, liberal arts or related field.
2. Minimum one year experiance in behavioral health coding and billing.
3. Minimum one year experiance in administration or personnel supervision.
4. Possesion of, or ability to obtain within 30 days, a vaild driver's license in the State of domicile.
5. Salary offered will vary depending on experience
