The Shift Coordinator Supervisor is responsible for leading on-site yard and spotting coordination and inspection processes at the Green Bay GP location. This role ensures trailers entering GP meet customer standards, spotter assignments keep the yard flowing, and all documentation and reporting are completed accurately. The supervisor also provides leadership for local shift coordinators, drivers, resolves operational issues, and partners with PTI, GP, and Maintenance teams.
Essential Functions / Key Responsibilities
Safety & Compliance:
- Enforce PPE and safe work practices
- Ensure trailers meet GP standards
Operations & Yard Flow:
- Perform and oversee trailer inspections
- Assign loads to keep spotters moving efficiently
- Resolve load and service issues
Leadership:
- Supervise shift coordinators and local drivers
- Hold accountability for equipment, logs, and paperwork
- Provide coverage for call-offs
Maintenance & Equipment:
- Identify and escalate maintenance issues
- Monitor equipment condition and idle time
Systems & Reporting:
- Utilize RMS, Platform Science, and GP/PTI systems
- Maintain documentation and reporting
Support KPI tracking and billing requirements
Cross-Functional Work:
- Partner with PTI, GP, and Maintenance teams
- Complete additional project work as assigned
Night Shift Responsibilities
- Complete daily yard checks
- Ensure daily reports are sent by scheduled time
