Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a skilled nursing facility. The RN is responsible for providing direct nursing care to residents, supervising nursing staff, coordinating care with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, organized, and committed to delivering high-quality long-term and rehabilitative care.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate resident care plans
Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapy as prescribed
Monitor residents’ conditions and document changes accurately
Respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventions
Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)
Coordinate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and families regarding resident care
Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards
Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR)
Educate residents and families about health conditions and care plans
Participate in admissions, discharges, and transfers
Promote resident dignity, comfort, and quality of life
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Current CPR/BLS certification
Previous experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or geriatrics preferred
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and leadership abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to assist residents with mobility and daily care needs
Must be able to respond quickly in emergency situations
Full-time, part-time, and PRN positions available
Day, evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts may be required
