Ohio Steel Industries, Inc. is seeking a reliable Industrial Custodian to support our
structural steel division. This role is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, safety, and
organization within a heavy industrial environment.

What You'll Do
In collaboration with your team members, specific duties include, but are not limited to:
- Uphold our Safety-First culture at all times
- Minimal crane operation, picking up drops.
- Clean and maintain designated areas of the facility, including shop floors, restrooms, break areas, and common spaces
- Perform heavy-duty cleaning tasks such as sweeping, shoveling debris, and removing metal scrap and dust
- Operate industrial cleaning equipment (floor scrubbers, vacuums, etc.)
- Perform and document routine inspections and basic maintenance activities
- Notify management of deficiencies, safety concerns, or repair needs
- Make minor adjustments and repairs as needed
- Stock and maintain cleaning supply rooms
- Work collaboratively with team members and production staff
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper use of PPE
- Other duties as assigned
Shift Schedule:
The schedule is currently 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Thursday and 6:00 am to
2:30 pm Friday. This is subject to change based on organizational needs.
What We're Looking For

- Previous experience as a janitor or in industrial cleaning preferred
- Ability to handle or learn to operate heavy equipment and machinery
- Ability to work independently and maintain a high level of integrity
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- High school diploma or GED (required)
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Industrial/manufacturing environment with exposure to dust, noise, and heat
- Required use of PPE, including steel-toed boots and safety glasses
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
