Duties
- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements, ensuring a smooth flow of service from arrival to departure
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring quick and precise entry
- Provide detailed menu descriptions, recommend specials, and upsell items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling, cashiering, and processing payments through POS systems
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations by bussing tables and assisting with sanitation standards
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery, supporting food safety and proper food handling procedures
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all diners
- Assist with opening or closing duties as needed, including setup, breakdown, and sanitation tasks in compliance with health regulations
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs or upscale restaurants
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus for reservation management
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle diverse needs gracefully
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy hours
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and billing processes
- Experience in serving, bussing tables, hosting/hostess duties, or food preparation is highly desirable
- Hospitality background with a focus on guest relations and creating memorable dining experiences
