We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our dynamic finance team. Responsibilities
- Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, corporations, trusts. Forms 1040, 1120, 1065, 1041
- Conduct detailed financial statement review and management of junior bookkeepers
- Analyze financial data for local business owners
- Reconcile general ledger accounts, perform balance sheet reconciliations, and maintain accurate bookkeeping records using accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar platforms
- Assist clients with tax reporting, tax compliance strategies, and tax law updates to optimize their financial positions
- Collaborate with clients on financial sales initiatives, budgeting processes, and financial report writing to enhance decision-making
Requirements
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required; additional certifications such as estate planning or securities law are a plus
- Experience in public accounting or corporate accounting environments with a strong foundation in accounting principles such as double entry bookkeeping and technical accounting standards
- Proven expertise in tax experience including tax return preparation, tax reporting, tax law updates, and regulatory compliance accounting
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks
- Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial concepts and prepare detailed financial reports
- Strong client communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly and professionally
- Experience in auditing, financial analysis, account reconciliation, or budgeting is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment

Work environment: primarily work from home with your own schedule. Occasional client meetings in the office (1-3 hours per week).
Pay: $40.00 - $60.00 per hour
