Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Assistant Manager to join our vibrant restaurant team! Duties
- Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, including staff scheduling, shift management, and ensuring smooth service flow.
- Lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service, addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Supervise food preparation and kitchen activities to uphold quality standards in food presentation, taste, and safety compliance.
- Manage inventory control processes including stock ordering, food handling procedures, and minimizing waste to optimize profitability.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate staff members on food safety practices, POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, and customer service skills.
- Oversee cash handling procedures accurately during shifts, reconcile cash drawers, and prepare shift reports for accountability.
- Support hiring efforts through interviewing candidates and onboarding new team members to foster a motivated and well-trained hospitality team.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments with a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management.
- Demonstrated supervisory or assistant manager experience within the food industry or hospitality sector.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; proficiency in basic math for cash handling and inventory calculations.
- Knowledge of food safety management practices, including proper food handling and sanitation standards.
- Excellent communication skills for effective managerial leadership and team training; experience in managing hospitality teams is preferred.
- Ability to multitask efficiently during busy shifts while maintaining high standards of customer service.
- Strong understanding of restaurant management principles including budgeting, profit & loss analysis, and food production control.
