Pay: $18-$20 per hour
- Sunday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Monday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Occasional third shift available based on hotel needs.
Training during the first few weeks may occur on different days and times. Flexibility during the training period is appreciated.
Expected Hours: 16–24 hours per week.

Hyatt Place St. Paul / Downtown is seeking a dependable and motivated Maintenance Technician to help keep our hotel operating safely and efficiently.
No previous hotel maintenance experience is required. We are willing to train the right person.

What You'll Do
As a Maintenance Technician, you will assist with the maintenance and upkeep of guest rooms, public areas, meeting spaces, and hotel equipment.
Responsibilities include:
- Completing maintenance work orders and guest requests
- Performing basic repairs, including painting, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work
- Assisting with preventive maintenance programs
- Maintaining hotel grounds and exterior appearance
- Snow and ice removal during winter months
- Pool maintenance and water testing
- Setting up and breaking down meeting room spaces
- Responding to maintenance emergencies
- Maintaining tools, equipment, and storage areas
- Identifying and reporting safety concerns
- Assisting with other projects as assigned

Requirements
- Valid driver's license (required)
- Ability to safely operate lifts and maintenance equipment
- Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work overhead
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
Experience
Previous hotel maintenance experience is not required.
Experience in construction, landscaping, maintenance, facilities, warehouse operations, automotive repair, or other hands-on work is helpful but not necessary.
Language Requirements
English is preferred because team communication and guest interaction are an important part of the position.
However, Spanish-speaking candidates are encouraged to apply. Applicants with basic English communication skills and a willingness to learn will be considered.

Responsabilidades
Como Técnico de Mantenimiento, ayudará con el mantenimiento y cuidado de las habitaciones, áreas públicas, salones de reuniones y equipos del hotel.
Las responsabilidades incluyen:
- Completar órdenes de trabajo y solicitudes de huéspedes
- Realizar reparaciones básicas de pintura, plomería, carpintería y electricidad
- Ayudar con programas de mantenimiento preventivo
- Mantener la apariencia interior y exterior del hotel
- Remover nieve y hielo durante el invierno
- Realizar mantenimiento y pruebas del área de piscina
- Preparar y desmontar salas de reuniones
- Responder a emergencias de mantenimiento
- Mantener organizadas las herramientas y áreas de almacenamiento
- Identificar y reportar problemas de seguridad
- Ayudar con otras tareas asignadas por la gerencia

Requisitos
- Licencia de conducir válida (obligatoria)

- Capacidad para trabajar en interiores y exteriores durante todo el año
Experiencia
No se requiere experiencia previa en mantenimiento de hoteles.
La experiencia en construcción, jardinería, mantenimiento, almacén, reparación automotriz u otros trabajos manuales es útil, pero no es necesaria.
Requisitos de Idioma
Se prefiere inglés debido a la comunicación con huéspedes y compañeros de trabajo.
