On-Site Clean specializes in providing critical services in sterile cleanroom environments, including cleaning, USP competency assessments, monthly environmental monitoring, and full cleanroom certification services to pharmacy clients across multiple states, including Louisiana.
Job Overview:
The Sterile Compounding Environmental Monitoring Technician will travel daily to client sites in your assigned territory to perform routine surface sampling services for sterile compounding pharmacies in accordance with USP <797>, USP <800> compounding standards, LA Board of Pharmacy and Federal regulations. The role will be responsible for collecting environmental samples, sample delivery, maintaining proper documentation, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The position requires a detailed, process-oriented person.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Comply with all On-Site Clean and the client pharmacy’s policies, SOPs, and best practices.
- Comply with all federal, state, and USP compounding regulations and standards.
- Conduct monthly surface sampling collection within ISO classified compounding rooms or segregated compounding areas in health system pharmacies.
- Adhere to hand hygiene and garbing requirements to enter sterile cleanroom environments.
- Follow aseptic procedures for handling, labeling, collecting and shipping media devices and samples.
- Complete all required field documentation and chain of custody forms with Good Documentation Practices.
- Adhere to scheduling and client needs for service.
- Represent On-Site Clean in a professional and courteous manner in all interactions with clients and fellow personnel.
- Ability to communicate effectively to pharmacy technicians, pharmacists and pharmacy leadership as needed.
- Participate in in-service education programs provided or sponsored by On-Site Clean.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives locally and company-wide.
- Some overnight travel may be required.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a sterile cleanroom, healthcare environment or lab preferred.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills.
- Proficient with computer software such as Adobe, Microsoft suite.
- Excellent customer service skills.
Physical Requirements:
- The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit when visiting various pharmacy locations.
- The employee will need to be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- The employee will work in hazardous drug compounding areas that may require additional PPE.
Additional Requirements:
- Position work hours are generally 15-30 hours Monday through Thursday during normal business hours with occasional evenings and weekends as needed per client request.
- Will require travel to various pharmacy locations across Louisiana, range of 30-300 miles/day. Travel reimbursements/compensation.
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
