Paint Masker
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $21–$25/hr
Shift: Day | Monday–Friday 6am-2:45pm

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a Paint Masker to join a precision aerospace manufacturing environment. In this role, you will prepare and mask metal components ahead of painting and finishing operations — playing a critical quality-control function in the production process.
- Read and interpret work order (MO) instructions to identify and mask specified areas of metal parts prior to spray painting; measure and cut masking mediums to required dimensions.
- Clean parts using solvent to ensure proper masking adhesion and paint application; apply corrosion-inhibiting compounds as directed.
- Count, scan, and record all incoming and outgoing parts; verify prior operations are completed and approved before proceeding.
- Operate pallet jack to transport parts; maintain a clean, organized workspace in compliance with 6S standards and all PPE requirements.
- Support cross-functional team communication and assist with training as needed; additional duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a paint or finishing process role; aerospace manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of aerospace finishing materials including lacquers, enamels, epoxies, urethanes, and acrylics; familiarity with MRP/ERP data entry systems and blueprint reading.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; strong attention to detail, good manual dexterity, and ability to read and follow written work instructions in English.
