Role Overview:
Our maintenance department is looking for a seasoned Industrial PLC Technician to support our facility operations. You will be tasked with the installation, upkeep, and repair of various electrical systems and industrial machinery. We are seeking a professional with deep expertise in motors, PLCs, VFDs, and rotating equipment maintenance to ensure our production lines remain safe and highly productive.
Core Responsibilities:

Execute both scheduled and emergency repairs on power distribution and control circuits to keep our facility running smoothly.

Identify and resolve electrical malfunctions in motors, sensors, and control hardware.

Install electrical components, conduits, and wiring in strict accordance with industry standards.

Verify the accuracy and functionality of electrical systems through precise calibration and testing.

Manage the installation and maintenance of various AC/DC industrial motors to support consistent operational uptime.

Perform critical motor diagnostics, such as winding resistance and insulation testing, to ensure equipment longevity.

Replace seals and bearings to maintain the mechanical integrity of our motor fleet.

Align couplings and motors to maximize equipment lifespan and prevent premature failure.

Diagnose and resolve complex issues within PLC systems and I/O devices to minimize production downtime.

Interpret ladder logic and programming languages to support system functionality.

Assist in upgrading and modifying PLC programs to improve process control.

Maintain system integrity by performing regular backups and restores of PLC software.

Install, configure, and troubleshoot VFDs to ensure reliable motor control.

Optimize VFD parameters to enhance energy efficiency and overall motor performance.

Resolve faults within VFD units to restore equipment operation.

Develop and execute preventative maintenance plans for rotating assets like pumps and compressors to improve site reliability.

Conduct routine inspections and lubrication to preserve the health of rotating machinery.

Utilize predictive maintenance tools like thermal imaging to detect and mitigate potential equipment failure.

Maintain comprehensive logs of all maintenance tasks and findings.

Follow all safety protocols, including LOTO, to foster a secure environment for all staff.

Ensure all electrical work complies with NEC and other relevant safety standards.

Engage in regular safety meetings to promote a culture of workplace awareness.

Keep detailed records of repairs and inspections to ensure accurate maintenance history.

Update electrical schematics and drawings to reflect system modifications.

Collaborate effectively with production teams and management to streamline maintenance workflows.

Analyze recurring electrical problems to implement long-term fixes that prevent future downtime.

Contribute to continuous improvement projects to boost the reliability of our production equipment.

Support the broader maintenance team with general tasks as required.

Maintain a tidy and organized workspace to support efficient operations.
Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Technical school training or an apprenticeship in electrical maintenance is strongly preferred.

At least 3 years of hands-on experience as an Industrial Electrical Maintenance Technician, specifically with motors, PLCs, VFDs, and rotating equipment.

Proven track record in the repair and troubleshooting of industrial electrical systems.

Strong grasp of electrical theory, wiring diagrams, and schematics.

Demonstrated ability to maintain and troubleshoot PLC systems.

Experience with the programming, installation, and repair of VFDs.

Solid understanding of preventative maintenance for rotating equipment, including alignment and monitoring.

Proficiency with standard electrical testing tools like multimeters, oscilloscopes, and meggers.

Knowledge of safety regulations and electrical codes such as the NEC.

Preferred Qualifications:
