Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and energetic Front of House Team Member to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, ensuring smooth food and beverage operations, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service environments such as quick service or fast food restaurants, cafés, or retail food settings. Strong communication, multitasking, and basic math skills are essential to succeed in this position.
Duties
- Greet and assist customers with a positive attitude, ensuring a welcoming environment
- Take customer orders accurately using Toast POS.
- Prepare and serve food and beverages according to safety and sanitation standards
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and give correct change
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness of the front counter, dining area, and service stations through bussing and sanitation practices
- Manage food handling responsibilities while adhering to food safety regulations
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed in the kitchen or café area
- Support team members with various duties including stocking supplies and cleaning
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, café, or retail food industry preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations
- Familiarity with food safety standards and sanitation procedures
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy service periods effectively
- Experience with food preparation, serving, bussing, and cashiering is desirable
- Ability to work well as part of a team in a quick service or fast food restaurant setting
- Will perform all assigned tasks
- Comply with company standards
