We are looking for an experienced server for The Tasting Haus at Roaring River Vineyards, the tasting room and restaurant combined. We are looking for someone who can handle guests' orders and experiences in a friendly and professional manner. We do require that applicants be 21+, as servers are wine ambassadors for RRV Wine.
We pay $5.00 an hour + tips. Tips are paid out daily.
Main Days: Saturdays & Sundays
Flex Days: Thursday / Friday
You need to be quick on your feet (literally and figuratively), have a polite and friendly attitude, and maintain a steady flow. If you enjoy talking to people and thrive in a fast-paced workplace, we’d like to meet you. Your ultimate goal will be to provide high-quality service that will help us maintain and attract customers.
The Tasting Haus Hours: (Hours can change for events)
Thursday through Saturday from 11 am - 6 pm
Sunday from 12 pm - 5 pm
We are an event venue as well, so all staff will be trained to work events as needed.
Responsibilities
- Wine Ambassador
- Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order
- Attend to customers upon entrance
- Present restaurant menus and help customers select food/beverages
- Take and serve orders
- Answer questions or make recommendations for complementary products
- Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff
- Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude
- Issue bills and accept payment
Skills
- Proven restaurant serving or waitering experience
- Hands-on experience in cashier duties
