American Traveler is hiring an experienced Pediatric OR RN for a 12-week travel contract at a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma facility, requiring at least 2 years of OR experience and a TX or compact RN license.

Pediatric surgical unit (Peds Surgery) within a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma facility

Facility has 14 ORs and 2 procedure rooms

Charting is performed in Cerner
-
Day shift: 06:30–19:00

Schedule is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

12-week contract
-
Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
-
Current BLS and PALS certifications required (both must be AHA-issued)

Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required

Pediatric surgical experience strongly preferred given the patient population

Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address

Driver's License copy required for consideration

Two professional references required for consideration

Responsibilities include circulating and scrub nurse duties, covering patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures

Circulating duties include monitoring patient status and maintaining accurate EHR documentation in Cerner
-
Scrub duties include maintaining sterile technique, preparing instruments, and directly assisting surgeons

Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to support efficient surgical workflows and high-quality clinical outcomes
